Clintons, was one of the UK’s largest high street brands with over 700 stores nationwide.

The business was suffering increasing competition from online personalised card and gift brands such as and In order to be able to compete in this new marketplace we built a completely new online presence and business model for Clintons.

We overhauled their online brand building a multi-channel E-commerce site that put the personalisation of cards & gifts at the very core of the new Clintons, delivering a better personalised card and gift experience then their dotcom competitors. Unlike the dotcom competitors, Clintons had a myriad of different card suppliers necessitating integration with 3rd party suppliers.

The E-commerce platform was built in Magento. We also planned online media and SEO to ensure Clintons was performing in around key card buying opportunities such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day – two gifting days that Clintons had built up in the UK over many years as a bricks and mortar business.

Ultimately this innovative platform and brand refresh as not enough to save the Clintons brand.
